Tampa, FL — April 10, 2017 — The Center for Sales Strategy, a leading international firm focused on sales acceleration, sales enablement, and sales talent recruitment and development, today announced the appointment of Brad Ramsey as Vice President of Business Strategy. Ramsey assumes his new role May 4. Prior to joining CSS, Ramsey served as Vice President of Global Sales at Boats Group, where he led an international sales force serving customers of boats.com, boattrader.com, and yachtworld.com, spanning 106 countries.
Over the past year Ramsey led the integration of the sales teams and sales strategy across the various Boats Group digital portals, and oversaw development of the company's new programmatic sales arm resulting in a 59% year-over-year increase in network revenue. Previously he was Vice President of Sales at TEGNA Media, where he led the development of in-house sales enablement, sales recruiting, and sales marketing teams, and he also served as a general manager at both TEGNA Media and Gray Television stations across three Virginia markets. Ramsey is a past president of the Virginia Association of Broadcasters and was an inaugural member of Nielsen's "Anytime/Anywhere" client advisory board.
“We are excited to have Brad join our team. We’ve known him for several years and after working closely with him as a client, we were especially impressed with his work,” said Matt Sunshine, Managing Partner of CSS. "I am looking forward to Brad coming on board and making an immediate impact. We are constantly looking for new and better ways to serve our clients and Brad gives us the opportunity to do just that.”
As a consultant, Ramsey will work hand in hand with many of the current CSS clients on their initiatives to improve sales recruitment, sales enablement, and sales performance. As Vice President of Business Strategy he will work with the CSS leadership team to expand CSS product offerings and business development in new industries and business verticals. He will have a particular focus on leading new customers through the market-leading CSS Sales Diagnostic, creation of their own CSS Sales Playbook, and building custom solutions for CSS clients that improve their full revenue life-cycle: talent recruitment and development, lead generation, sales enablement, and sales performance.
"I've had the pleasure of being a CSS customer, and while I knew they had other valuable clients, I always felt like the only one," Ramsey commented. "I look forward to helping CSS expand their client reach and effectiveness, while maintaining that unique approach that gives every client a strategy and execution plan tailored to their needs, and results that exceed their expectations."
Ramsey holds a BA in Communications and an MBA, both from Virginia Tech. He is a member of the Foundation Board of Directors of Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk, VA and a member of Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business Sales Advisory Board. Ramsey lives with his wife and two sons in Virginia Beach, VA, where he coaches Little League Baseball.
