10 Eric Fow, DOS at Summit Media, Louisville, KY Nominated by Todd Pitt, VP/GM with Summit Media, who has witnessed Eric’s superpowers many times. Todd explained, “Eric is driven to be as successful as anyone I know. He has done a great job of identifying the talent themes that are most needed on our sales staff. By the end of 2018, we will have added 4 new talented sellers to our staff, with 2 others to follow in early 2019. This will transform our sales staff into a highly productive team in 2019, that will accomplish great things together! Eric has done a great job of targeting and developing one of those sellers, Ashley Isaacs, into our #1 seller and she's only been with us less than 1 year!” Pointing to exactly what separates Eric from those without superhero management abilities, Todd explained, “Eric has many great client relationships through the Kentuckiana region, and as we've gone through a transition of new sellers to our team, he's done a tremendous job of maintaining both agency and direct accounts in the interim. He's always been the best seller we have in the building, and now he is poised to become the best Director of Sales in the market as well, thanks to the CSS approach of coaching and talent development!” Lori Clark, DOS at TEGNA, Houston, TX Lori was nominated by both Jaclyn Ayers, Account Executive with TEGNA, and Elizabeth Bond, Local Sales Manager with TEGNA. Jaclyn knew she had to nominate her immediately because “she’s just amazing” and “she saves the day every single day!” Elizabeth told us, “Lori Clark is a talent superhero because she excels at coaching to the individual. She knows each team member well, understands individual strengths and makes decisions accordingly. Lori really understands what motivates and demotivates her team members and her daily actions illustrate that understanding. KHOU lost our building in August 2017 due to Hurricane Harvey and the team was forced to work remotely and separately for a year and a half. During that time, Lori ensured that every person had the necessary set-up to successfully complete their work and implemented processes and correspondence that kept team members engaged. Additionally, she has taken the learnings from our displacement and applied them to our day-to-day best practices, so we can be a true outside sales organization focusing on business development. By understanding each role and each individual, she’s been the glue that has held our team together through the challenges caused by the storm. She saved the day for the KHOU sales team in a very difficult situation.”
