The Center for Sales Strategy Blog

Does Font Matter? Turns Out, Yes!

typeface-font-mattersThis was another great week in terms of content. We found a lot to love.

Here are the five articles that piqued our interest:

1. The Healthiest Typeface {The Atlantic}

If you're trying to convince people to do something, choose your font carefully. The font you choose to convey information is nearly as important as the information itself, according to these studies.

2. Turn Meeting Confirmations into Selling Moments {Spiro Technologies}

This one makes some great points about confirming upcoming meetings—not just to confirm, but to advance the sales process.

3. 7 Habits of Highly Successful Startup Entrepreneurs {Inc.}

They spend more time acting than thinking, they focus their spending on whether it touches the customer, they don't act as if they deserve success, and everything they do generates revenue.

4. In Defense of Boredom {Brain Pickings}

There is power in stillness, and great things happen when you're bored. This article pulls together several great minds (Bertrand Russel, Soren Kierkegaard, Susan Sontag, and more) and their thoughts on boredom. It makes me want to deliberately build boredom into my days, to help foster creativity.

5. Shopping Malls Blame Anchor Stores for Their Closing {The Marketing Mind}

Shoppers are choosing convenience over the mall experience. How can you approach mall owners?
